
We are pleased to announce the 5th international conference of the European Society for Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (ESCAN), which will take place in Budapest, Hungary, between 23-26 June, 2021.
We welcome symposium, oral presentation, and poster submissions reporting studies from all fields of cognitive, affective and social neuroscience. We are also welcoming proposals for pre-conference workshops/meetings/satellites.

"The empathy feedback loop"
Simone Shamay-Tsoory is a professor at Haifa University, and lab director of Social and Affective Neuroscience Lab. Her main research interest is the understanding the neural mechanisms underlying social cognition and emotional experiences.
Philippe Schyns is a professor at University of Glasgow. His main research interest is the information processing mechanisms of face, object and scene categorization in the brain.
Catherine Tallon-Baudry seeks to understand how brain activity turns into conscious experience. She currently investigates the role of both gastric-brain and heart-brain coupling in very different aspects of subjectivity.

Online payment is available with VISA, VISA Electron, V-Pay, MasterCard, Maestro and JCB cards only. Upon finishing your registration you will be redirected to the secured online payment site of K&H Bank Zrt. AMEX cards: Payment with AMEX card is only possible in a traditional mail order way. In this case please return the Credit Card Authorization Form with your card details.
Taxable invoice will be issued on all incoming payments. Invoices will be prepared for the customer name indicated on the registration form. Please note that the Congress Secretariat will not modify the customer name on issued invoices so please take care of the right billing address when you fill in the registration form.
Registration fees include catering (welcome reception and coffee breaks). In line with tax regulations the prices of these catering services should be displayed on the invice separately. Therefore the registration fees will be billed on invoices as two separate items: registration fees and catering costs included on the registration fee.
All cancellations should be sent in written form to the Congress Secretariat.
The organizers take efforts to run a successfull conference. Based on the list of registrants and order status conference services will be provided in sufficient numbers. Please take into consideration that after deadlines some conference materials and meals or hotel rooms cannot be cancelled or resold and therefore no refund is available. However substitution in person is always acceptable.
The organizers cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, loss, damage, accident to private property, or additional expenses incurred as a result of delays or changes in air, rail, sea, road or other services, strikes, sickness, weather, war, sports and other causes. 22-23 June, 2021 Psychophysiological modelling workshop Chairs: Dominik Bach, University College London Maximum participants: 25 Registration fee: 50 EUR The workshop is aimed at newcomers to the method and at users who want to deepen their theoretical knowledge. We will focus on fostering an intuitive understanding and working with practical examples. The workshop will be divided into a theoretical overview and training with the software. Training will be adapted to participant's previous exposure to PsPM, SPM or Matlab. Participants are welcome to bring along specific questions on PsPM, or experiments that they are planning to analyse with PsPM. |
